I'm blogging a little more regularly at blogger right now. I've been taking a break from painting, collecting my thoughts and looking at my practice as a whole and weeding out all the elements which make me unhappy. My blog is here and will be updated a lot more regularly that this news section if you're interested in reading any of my waffle or knowing what I'm doing painting-wise.

You might catch a glimpse of my painting 'Motoko' on tonight's DIY SOS if you look closely near to the end. The team used my image file to make up a print of it for the home they're fixing up in this episode. I won't be screen-grabbing any images because this is a family's home, also, I seem to remember the contract I signed told me not to do that sort of thing - makes perfect sense really.

I remember when they contacted me I thought that they were asking for the actual painting and I thought it was quite short notice to have to get it to them in the time-frame required. I finished the edges up and then re-read what I'd been sent [...]

Artist Lane have been working on their newest selection of printed cushions and my images have been selected. The cushions look fab, I particularly like the ones which are of an area of a painting rather than the whole piece. They're currently selling on an exclusive basis with selected online retailers, I suspect they may be available from Artist Lane directly at some point in the future, I'll pop up a note on my website if this is the case. This particular sale ends in 2 days and is on Australian site, The Home.

I can highly recommend Artist Lane, just from a quality perspective I mean, I've never worked with a team who are so meticulous about quality.

I'm pleased to be working with Australian site Curatorial & Co. who have a small selection of artists who've produced exclusive pieces for the site. You can see more here and for reference, my paintings will ship from the UK, overseas transit times should only be 3 - 5 working days.

Summer News

Wowee, so it's been ages since I posted some news. Well, it's been busy over here, busy in a studio sense and I haven't had so much time to tinker with my website and other internetty things like my portfolio sites. I'll begin to update everything/everywhere in the next month or so.

All is well here, high quality prints are now available from Artist Lane, a print company based in Australia. Artist Lane work with lots of different channels to offer prints at affordable prices, they're also branching out into home furnishings so I'll be sure to let you know when I know more! You can find my page here, soon to be updated with additional artworks once I've had them photographed properly.

Art Slant Showcase Win!

Published 28 Mar 2015 at 21:17

My piece, Elizabeth, got a juried win in the 1st ArtSlant Showcase this year - very exciting news. Standard wins are sort of like being shortlisted and a juried win is the top of the pops! Interestingly, if you get a juried win you also get invited to sell with ArtSlant through their Amazon platform - art on Amazon!? Sounds interesting, something I'll definitely be trying out!
